Patan, first
Arrival and a heritage courtyard stay in the heart of Patan's wood-carving lanes. An evening orientation walk with your guide, then a welcome meal that's cooked for you, not staged.
Narrative Flow
Transfer from Tribhuvan International Airport to our meticulously restored heritage courtyard in the core of Patan (Yala). Settle into your room featuring brickwork and timber columns carved by local hands. In the late afternoon, your guide leads an intimate orientation walk through historic bahals (courtyards) and hidden gallis, sharing the spiritual geography of the city. We gather for an authentic, slow-cooked Newari dinner prepared by a host family, introducing your palate to wild mountain ginger, roasted mustard seeds, and homemade aila (distilled rice spirit).
The villages most visitors miss
Morning at Patan Durbar Square and the Golden Temple. Afternoon in two villages minutes away yet rarely visited — mustard-oil pressing, woodcarving, and a full Newari meal cooked in a family kitchen.
A full day and night, unhurried
Nepal's best-preserved Newar town, with almost none of the standard tourist infrastructure. You'll stay with a host family — a homestay, not an intermediary.
Something to do, not just watch
A morning of Ranjana script calligraphy and everyday Nepal Bhasa phrases, taught by a young guthi member. Afternoon transfer timed to reach Bhaktapur once the day-trippers have thinned.
Bhaktapur before the crowds
Bhaktapur Durbar Square early, then the quieter Dattatreya Square and the potters' quarter. An afternoon in Thimi, and a farewell dinner hosted again by your Day 4 family.
The final morning & departure
